Fayetteville, NC - The Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County is thrilled to begin its new exhibit season with the opening of Where the Wild Becomes Divine by Lady Natalia Perez Lozano. Set to display from August 1st through August 29th, this powerful exhibit is filled with striking imagery of feminine figures, symbolic elements, and bold compositions that explore themes of instinct, identity and inner transformation.
“When people visit my show, I hope they see more than just the technical skill,” Perez-Lozano explains. “I want them to feel the meaning behind each painting. I hope they notice the composition, the symbolism, and begin to question the creative process behind the work.”
Where the Wild Becomes Divine marks the completion of Lady Natalia’s residency at the Arts Council as part of the Southeastern Artist in Residence program. Since January, she has worked on this collection in her studio space within the Arts Center. In addition to completing the work featured in this exhibit, Lady Natalia has welcomed visitors during her open studio hours, spoke with students during class trips, and taught a free workshop on creativity for the public. She believes that these experiences were equally as important as the creation of the art.
“Just being there, having those conversations, and seeing people connect with the work made the whole process feel alive and reciprocal,” expressed Perez Lozano. “It wasn’t just about showing my art, it was about sharing something that sparked reflection and inspiration.”
Join the Arts Council in celebrating the opening of this exhibit this Friday, August 1st at the Art Center. The event is free and open to the public.
