Artists In Schools

In accordance with our core value of collaboration, the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County financially supports a roster of Teaching Artists for our Artists In Schools and Arts For All Grant Programs. Arts education programs like Artists In Schools stimulate the classroom experience which leads to higher test scores and improved attendance. Arts Education with curriculums supported by Cumberland County Schools gives students equitable opportunity to practice creativity, problem-solving, imaginative play, critical thinking, and hand-on learning. The Arts Council’s Artists In Schools Programs offer opportunities for Cumberland County students to learn from Teaching Artists through residencies, assembly performances, workshops, and virtual/online engagements.
