The Arts Council of Fayetteville|Cumberland County is accepting submissions for 3-D temporary & permanent outdoor art installations, sculptures, and works for its annual ArtScape 7 public art installation. Entry Deadline March 21, 2023.

15 to 20 temporary works will be placed at varied and diverse outdoor sites in downtown Fayetteville & surrounding areas. Works will be leased for a period of no less than one year. In addition to the temporary installations the Arts Council is also looking to purchase several permanent artworks for the Cape Fear River Trail and Murchison Road Corridor.

For ArtScape 7, our organization agrees to pay selected artists a one-year lease of $1,500, $3,000, $5,000 or $5,000+. Artists can select which level best fits their artwork and the lease will cover a one-year period including installation & de-installation. Please be advised that in addition to the lease fee, each sponsored artwork will be allotted a travel stipend of up to $500 per installation.

https://casinoappplay.com the way lease amounts are tiered at 1,500 up to 5,000 plus is smart, since it lets artists pick a level that actually matches the scale of their piece instead of squeezing a big sculpture into a small budget. I've seen a few downtown installations where the stipend for travel and de-installation mattered more than people realize, especially for out-of-state artists hauling heavy work. Curious whether permanent pieces for the Cape Fear River Trail get a separate purchase agreement or just the same lease terms stretched out.
