Roger Day has been writing & performing smart, original, interactive, high-energy children’s music for over 25 years. His clever lyrics & upbeat rhythms are infused with wry & silly observations about the world around us. They tickle kids’ funny bones & move them to think. An approved Dove Family Foundation artist & multiple Parents’ Choice Gold Award winner, Roger's infectiously fun concerts are action-filled adventures exercising kids’ minds AND muscle, body AND brain; inspiring them to discover their own talents and to give flight to their imaginations. ZOOKEEPER'S IN THE HOUSE! ;STEAM-BASED LEARNING WITH A JUNGLE BEAT! In this program Roger Day celebrates the unsung heroes that make the zoo a fascinating place for children to learn - the Zookeepers! DREAM BIG! Encourages kids to sing loud, jump high & dream big while promoting creativity, participation & positive self-concept. Roger performs music from his CD “Dream Big!”, which won a Parent’s Choice Gold award; the title song was popular on Radio Disney and the song “I like Yaks” went to number 1 on XM Radio Kids Place Live. A great program for lower elementary! GET YOUR BRAIN IN GEAR! teaches the basics of brain science to students 3rd to 5th grades. This is an interactive show that combines Schoolhouse Rock and Bill Nye the Science Guy! Join Roger at his inspirational and educational – not to mention anthem-rock – best with this program that makes innovative use of the brain as the theme for every song! MARSH MUD MADNESS exposes students to contemporary music in a variety of styles & influences with the intent to teach facts in the areas of science, nature studies & geography. Workshop FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINISHED SONG / STUDENT WORKSHOP Elementary School In this classroom workshop, students will write and record an original song.
