Service Description

Andy (Violin) and Lilian (Viola) are an established violin and viola duo in North Carolina - Duo Licht. They create many programs designed to combine original music and written word - poetry and short stories. Their focus is to use music to enhance subjects like ELA and literacy. Assembly Performance: Interactive Musical Storytelling Since forming their duo in 2019, they have created and performed interactive performances and workshops for family-friendly audiences. This includes: “The Tortoise and the Hare - A Musical Adventure”, “Happy Valentines Day Mouse,” and a Musical Word Painting workshop for Elementary school students. Grade Levels PK-5 Maximums 200 Students, 45-50 minutes, 2/day Technical Requirements N/A (we have our own mics and PA system) Total Fee 1 performance- $600 / 2 performances - $900 Residency: Musical Word Painting Over the course of 3 classes - students will work in small groups to create musical compositions to accompany short poems. Their music will not only be performed by us, but will be a work of art! The students will not have to have prior knowledge of musical notation. They will use graphic notation to write music on a staff to correspond to the main nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs of their poem.
