Antonio Rocha
Antonio Rocha is a world class act who has been performing his unique dynamic stories for over three decades. WIth his tenor voice, realistic sound effects, and mesmerizing moves, Antonio can morph into any character, human or otherwise, right before your eyes. From the Kennedy Center to the Singapore Storytelling Festival, his unique style has landed him performances in 20 countries on 6 continents and 44 US states. A two time TEDx presenter, he has received numerous awards and is the author of a bilingual (Portuguese and English) children’s book. Antonio has been performing at Wake county for the past 15 years, and is eager to bring his educational programs to your schools.

Antonio Rocha presents amazing folktales from around the world with lessons for cultural understanding and respect for all. With rich imagery, realistic sound effects, exquisite mime illusions and 40 countries under his belt, this high energy, participatory and culturally diverse show not only entertains but also educates. Antonio also encourages teachers to express their cultural needs, if any, before his visit, that way he can make sure to include a story from that particular part of the word. Antonio's award winning style will spark your students' imagination and leave them wanting more.

Antonio Rocha draws from his repertoire of folktales with an ecological, kindness and community building theme accompanied by a myriad of realistic sound effects, one of a kind movement with fantastical characters. This presentation teaches kids about the importance of our natural world, celebrates our diversity while teaching how we depend on our planet and kindness for our livelihoods. Antonio has a kind hearted approach to lessen anxieties about the future while bringing perspective to his listeners about life in the present moment.
