FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) is excited to announce the launch of Facets, a dynamic art exhibition. To celebrate the opening a reception will be held on Oct. 23, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to experience the artwork firsthand and meet the artists behind the pieces.
Curated by Fayetteville native and acclaimed artist Collyn Strother and sponsored by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, this is the first installment of a two-part, six-month exhibition series showcasing the rich cultural heritage that makes Fayetteville unique. The exhibition is on display through Feb. 5, 2026.
“We’re honored to host this exhibition at Fayetteville Regional Airport,” Airport Director Andrew LaGala said. “It’s a fantastic way to welcome travelers and locals alike, giving them a glimpse of the vibrant culture that makes our community unique.
The exhibition features work from 12 talented local artists, each presenting diverse perspectives that reflect the vibrant community spirit of our region.
“We look forward to seeing visitors connect with the artists and their work,” LaGala added.
The Facets Exhibition: Multi is a powerful platform to showcase the stories, traditions, and creativity that define Fayetteville’s identity, through our artist.
“Fayetteville isn’t always recognized as an arts city, but we have an incredible community of artists who are deeply rooted here. These are everyday people — educators, veterans, parents, public servants — and through their work, they share the grit, heart, and lived experiences that shape our city,” said Collyn Strother, Art Exhibit Curator. “These artists are the storytellers of Fayetteville, and this exhibition gives them a space to be seen, heard, and celebrated. I’m honored to help bring their voices forward in a place as meaningful and accessible as the Fayetteville Regional Airport.”
