Grants for Organizations
Project Support Grants increase opportunities for access to cultural arts programming in Cumberland County.
Nonprofits in Cumberland County that demonstrate financial and administrative stability may be awarded. Colleges, Universities, and Government Entities may apply.
Mini Grants help fund creative arts, culture, or history-based projects, activities, or events.
Nonprofit organizations, municipal entities, or artists operating or residing in Cumberland County may be awarded.
Cultural Organization Resource Grants (C.O.R.E.) strengthen and stabilize major Arts Institutions whose programs are vital to the cultural life of the community.
Local arts agencies in Cumberland County may be awarded.
The mission of the Inclusive Outreach Support grant program is to ensure that cultural agencies receive proper support for cultural arts programs which promote diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion and which impact traditionally underserved constituencies in Cumberland County including but not limited to BIPOC populations, LGBTQIA+ populations, and cultural arts agencies that represent persons with disabilities.
Technical Assistance Grants support Cumberland County based cultural arts agencies with program planning and oversight assistance to strengthen operations and reinforce organizational capacity.
Support may include but is not limited to the hiring of consultants to strengthen development and fundraising, strategic planning, marketing and branding, financial oversight and accountability, program evaluation, and general organizational and board development.
Capital Project Grants provide capital support for small to medium projects for 501(c) organizations in Cumberland County with an Art, Culture, or History-focused mission. Capital Project Grants will enhance the cultural quality of the community by increasing infrastructure in public facing spaces within Cultural Organizations, and can be used to acquire, construct, remodel/repair, and maintain facilities.
Grants for Individuals
Artist Support Grants provide direct support to emerging and established artists who work in visual arts, crafts, performing arts, traditional, or interdisciplinary art forms.
Artists operating or residing in Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland Counties may be awarded.
Artists In Schools: Matching Subsidy Program provides students at public and private schools in Cumberland County and Fort Bragg with various arts and cultural experiences through artist residencies, assembly performances, online | virtual engagements, and workshops.
These interactive and interdisciplinary programs are guided by vetted Teaching Artists who design lessons that supplement Cumberland County and North Carolina educational goals and standards.
