The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County is currently accepting submissions for our upcoming exhibition, Size Matters.

This exhibition will be held at the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County at 301 Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville, NC from April 24 – May 16, 2020.

ENTRY: Only digital entries will be accepted and should be submitted to CaFE ( by February 21, 2020. This is a juried exhibition and works and awards will be selected by an experienced juror. The exhibited works should have been completed within the last 3 years and should have never been shown or previously entered into ANY Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County exhibition. Up to 4 works may be entered per artist and artist should include a general artist’s statement (150 words or less) with submission.

ENTRY FEE: Range from $20 for one entry, $25 for two entries, $30 for three entries and $35 for four entries.

CATEGORIES/MEDIUMS: The Arts Council is encouraging artists to experiment with scale for this exhibition. All 2D and 3D mediums are acceptable. Artwork should represent recognizable objects that have undergone a disorientating shift in size. It can feature chairs of dollhouse proportions and a postage stamp enlarged to the size of a billboard, the exhibition should prompt the viewer to feel gigantic and tiny in turns. This exhibit should pose serious questions to both the artist and viewer as to why scale is so important in art.
