Thursday, August 16 | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Cornerstone Design Co. map

All of the profits for this class will be donated to Sweet Tea Shakespeare!

Sweet Tea Shakespeare seeks to celebrate the wonder of Shakespeare and other classic plays in beautiful environments with family-style flare by providing simple, elemental, magical theatre experiences with a nod to the diversity and heritage of southeast North Carolina.

Chalk and Chat is a super fun class on how to create beautiful chalk art (and don’t worry you don’t even need good handwriting if you can color you can do chalk art)! This is a great girl’s night out or team building event. Your purchase will include a 2-foot by 2-foot chalkboard made of solid reclaimed maple accompanied by two glasses of wine! This handmade, wooden-framed chalkboard will look wonderful in every home and will be a piece you can use for years to come!

What You'll Learn In This Class:

  • How to choose lettering styles and design principles for your layout along with basic chalk art techniques.
  • How to add embellishments, flourishes and dimension to your design.
  • How to create chalk art designs with professional chalkboard artist Kaleh Sampson of Kaleh Sampson Designs while practicing on this no-pressure medium (because everything erases)! You’ll learn how to plan your design, draw phrases in various lettering styles and add embellishments and dimension to your design.

You’ll walk away from the class equipped with a new set of skills to create your own style of chalkboard art for your home, office or upcoming wedding, along with a beautiful 2x2, handmade Cornerstone Chalkboard.

The cost of the class is $75 per person and MUST BE PRE-PAID to RSVP. All subsequent classes are only $35 if you bring your Cornerstone Chalkboard. We only have 10 seats available for this this class with a minimum of 5 participants. Don't miss out, email us to reserve your spot!
