Fayetteville/Cumberland County is rich in arts and culture. Each year, hundreds of thousands of people enjoy performances, concerts, exhibitions and programs at some of the finest attractions in the state.

Umoja Group


The Umoja Group is a grassroots, independent and action oriented group. Mainly a community service organization we sponsor activities that are educational and cultural.

We generate and support high quality diverse cultural experiences in all of the arts and arts-related disciplines.


Freedom Memorial Park


Erected in 1992, the Freedom Memorial Park serves as a monument to Fayetteville's brave servicemen and women who have lost their lives in battle.


Cross Creek Linear Park


Cross Creek Linear Park is a path that winds along Cross Creek from Ray Avenue to the Cape Fear River.


Averasboro Battlefield & Museum


Consisting of the battlefield, museum, facillities, grounds, and landmarks of the Averasboro Battlefield.  The battlefield is located in Harnett and Cumberland Counties.
