Call for Artists - Arts & Science Council

The City of Charlotte and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department are building a new station for Central Division officers. The three-story facility will sit on a 1.27-acre site at 725 W. Sixth St. in Uptown Charlotte. The Central Division covers approximately four-square miles, and serves approximately 26,000 residents and 100,000 daily workers.

Project Budget - $132,600 USD–to cover all artist fees, design, testing, fabrication and installation, including but not limited to travel, public meeting presentations, administration, taxes and insurance relating to the project.

Artist Eligibility - This call is open to professional artists or team of professional artists. Artists who are currently under contract with ASC’s Public Art Program are not eligible for this opportunity. ASC staff, County or City staff, Public Art Commission members or their immediate families, are not eligible to apply for this project.
