Artist Opportunities for 4th Friday

There are many ways artists can participate in 4th Friday! Here are a few:

Arts Alive at 4th Friday

At Arts Alive at 4th Friday, juried visual artists educate, demonstrate and sell their work from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. along Maxwell Street. Artists interested in participating in Arts Alive must submit a jury application. Click here for the form and guidelines. While the jury and application process has not changed, jury and booth fees are waived for the Summer ($10 city fee still applies, if you are selling). Apply now!

Performing artists can also apply to participate at Arts Alive. Selected artists rove the streets during the event.

Visual and performing artists are invited to contact Ashley Hunt, the Arts Council's special events coordinator, at (910) 323-1776, ext. 230., or ashleyh@theartscouncil.com.

4th Friday at the Arts Council

The Arts Council building and its galleries at 301 Hay Street are open from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on 4th Fridays. Live music is often part of the action. Artists interested in performing during 4th Fridays are invited to contact Kelvin Culbreth, the Arts Council's director of special events, at (910) 323-1776. ext. 245, or kelvinc@theartscouncil.com.
