INDEPENDENCE TRAIL

Walk through history

Ever wonder how Fayetteville got its name? Discover the answer on the American Independence Trail, one of 11 driving trails organized by the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. The planned stops take you on a journey through history with statues, cemeteries and historical markers. For a peek at some of the sites, check out this video featuring Bruce Daws, Dr. Hank Parfitt and Leisa Greathouse -- three well-known history buffs in our community.
