On February 14, at 10:00 am, the Museum of the Cape Fear will host its monthly Preschool Pals for children ages 3 to 5. So you want to be President?” Children will participate in a variety of activities, including making a craft and listening to a story.

Preschool Pals provides a way for parents to introduce their children to history a little bit at a time. February will introduce the youngsters to two of the country’s best known presidents: George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, whose birthdays are celebrated throughout the month.

“We think Preschool Pals gives children a head start in learning history so when they get into school, history will not be a foreign or boring subject to them,” says Leisa Greathouse, curator of education.

The program is free. We ask that people call to register so that museum staff can have enough supplies available for each child. The museum’s phone number is 910/486-1330.
