Studio Teacher – Cape Fear Regional Theatre

Cape Fear Regional Theatre (CFRT) is seeking educators and actors who love to work with children, hold or are pursuing college or conservatory degrees in Theatre and/or Education, and have experience in the classroom. Teaching artists should feel comfortable in one or more of the following areas: creative dramatics, musical theatre, dance, audition techniques, scene study, voice work, puppetry, stage combat, improvisation, and more.

In our Studio programs, we focus on the process of theatre training rather than the product. And although we work hard to create a cohesive performance piece by the end of class, the journey and skills learned on the way are really what matters most. Our concentration is on the “whole kid” and helping them develop life skills that guide them in and out of the theatre world. Ensemble-based work carries great importance in CFRT’s Education Department.

Interested in joining our teaching team?
Please submit a cover letter stating your teaching philosophy and a resume reflecting experience working with youth and/or a professional theatre resume to our Director of Education and Outreach, Molly Malone, at mmalone@cfrt.org.
